Misc languages: UrduUrdu is a New Indo-Aryan language, spoken by 50 million people in Pakistan and India. Phonologically and morphologically Urdu and Hindi are one and the same language. The most apparent difference is the script: Urdu uses Arabic-Persian script with some for Urdu only letters, Hindi uses Devanagari. See the alphabet key below for translitteration of Arabic script. The resulting page will show the verb inflections both translitterated as well as in Arabic-Persian script.
